Kurt is a man’s man. From earth movers to snow groomers, there ain’t no rig that Kurt hasn’t driven, and ain’t no load too big to haul. A Tauranga boy of humble beginnings, Kurt grew up on the family orchard. He would most often be found in the shed, covered in grease tinkering with the old tractor. His passion for machines quickly grew, and by the time he was 20, he had driven 18 wheelers to every corner of the country. One day, whilst burning rubber down highway 35, the shadow of a jumbo jet was cast over his windscreen. And Kurts rig suddenly felt small. At that point he knew, to be the baddest operator around, he would have to get behind the wheel of an airplane. As one of the newer pilots to the team, Kurt mainly finds himself at the helm of the vacuum cleaner. But we get him in the air every once in a while.
