Absolutely incredible experience! The pilots and staff are absolutely awesome, really friendly, warm, and welcoming. Was lucky enough to witness a sperm whale surfacing & then to see it dive, which was a really beautiful moment! Thanks so much guys, you're an awesome team & I'll remember this flight forever!
Had had a boat trip booked for yesterday by our tour agent when first planning this trip but when we checked in, found that 4m swells prevented sailings. Our tour agent had warned of the possibility & recommended we consider the flying option in that event, so booked in & the office team suggested deferring a day for calmer conditions, which I did.
Safety briefing prior to departure then up & out. Our pilot, Mike had just come back from a flight where they’d spotted a Sperm Whale & from his knowledge of their behaviour he hoped that it would be back on the surface for ours, which it was. Dropped down to c500 feet & circled the Whale for around 10 mins until it dived again. Scouted around but no more Whales, although we did see a couple of pods of Dolphins.
Very smooth flight, and landing, with the added bonus of some high-level views of the snow-capped mountains. Top team, brilliant experience!
Fantastic staff who knew their stuff, very friendly and relatable. We were the only ones booked and needed at least 2 more to book to be able to go ahead, loved that they allowed time for that to happen overnight, not cancelling straight away, and so when the call came to confirm we were rapt. We were lucky enough to see a sperm whale a pod of pilot whales and dolphins, plus the scenery was beautiful. Loved loved our experience, thank you.
Excellent experience, very professional. All staff were friendly and we appreciated the lift to the airfield from town. Would fully recommend to anyone, and we saw orcas nd dolphins which was very special. Thankyou!

After a boat cruise company cancelled on us, we searched online and found wings over whales. From the moment we booked, the staff were kind and accommodating. The check in process is very streamlined and informative. The staff are so friendly and passionate. I felt like we were in very safe hands. We saw a massive pod of dolphins and a whale! Keep in mind you may not see anything coz these are wild animals, I’m just very grateful we did. Thanks heaps, will definitely recommend this!!!
I had a bit of difficulty getting seated in the plane. The pilot (and other guests) were patient and helpful. Although we didn't see any whales, we saw hundreds of dolphins and the scenery was breathtaking. The pilot was skillful and I felt totally at ease. I would thoroughly recommend this activity.
Our Pilot Emily was kind enough to delay our flight slightly so we had the best chance of seeing a whale that had been spotted earlier. We ended up being lucky enough to see two whales and lots of dolphins. The view from the sky of the coastline was amazing and the whole family enjoyed the experience.
